Senior Pastor - Dr. Gary Reimers

After obtaining a Ph.D. in theology at Bob Jones
University in 1983, Dr. Gary Reimers and his wife, Jan, moved to Dover, New
Hampshire to plant Heritage Baptist Church. Fifteen years later, the
church had built a beautiful new facility and had reached over 200 in
attendance. The Lord then burdened Dr. Reimers with the need to help
prepare young men for the ministry. He returned to BJU with his wife and
three children in the fall of 1998 to teach in the university’s
seminary. In January 2002 he directed the planting of Cornerstone
Baptist Church in Greenville and became the founding pastor. He has
written several articles for Christian magazines and serves on the board
of Frontline Missions International. He has traveled frequently to
Europe to teach and preach, and he leads study tours to the Holy Land.
Assistant Pastor - Jason Ormiston

After participating for over 11 years in
urban church planting in the midwest, Jason and his wife Heather moved
their 4 children to Greenville, South Carolina with a desire to train
men and women at Bob Jones University for multi-ethnic ministry. Once
adjusted to his new role as a professor at BJU, Cornerstone Baptist
Church extended a call to Jason to serve on staff as pastor of outreach
and discipleship beginning January 2008.
His educational background includes a B.A. in Pastoral Studies,
Northland Baptist Bible College; M.A. in Biblical Studies, Central
Baptist Theological Seminary; and an M.Div., Central Baptist Theological
Seminary.
His work and ministry experience includes a Doctor of Ministries in
Urban Missions in progress, youth/assistant pastor for 9 years, senior
pastor for 2 years, and an adjunct professor at Central Baptist
Theological Seminary and Northland Baptist Bible College. |
