“We regard the Sunday morning worship service as the highlight of the week.”

Worship that brings God glory.

The greatest privilege and highest priority of God’s people is the opportunity to glorify God, and God’s Word repeatedly urges us to gather together to accomplish that lofty goal (Psalm 100). This biblical emphasis prompts us to regard the Sunday morning worship service as the highlight of the week. Rather than follow the popular trend of trying to entertain people, we strive to focus on pleasing God by aligning each portion of our service with the clear mandates of Scripture. For example, we use only the best hymns we can find, including both older and newer compositions, whose texts clearly reflect biblical truth (Colossians 3:16). In addition, our service has a “traditional” feel because we are convinced that music styles designed to imitate the world are not likely to please the Lord (Romans 12:1-2). Even more importantly, we are committed to expositional preaching of God’s Word because the culmination of worship is the opportunity to hear from God and respond in humble obedience to what He has said (Psalm 95:6-8).
